Our Approach
By creating a highly accurate 3D image of the ear canal, 3D ear scanning with Otoscan® guarantees truly custom hearing aids for a perfect fit and excellent performance. The state-of-the-art technology, high-definition camera, and two lasers record almost a million data points. By creating ear canal scans up to 5mm deeper than traditional silicone earmold impressions, Otoscan provides an exceptionally accurate model of the ear canal. Hearing instrument and earmold manufacturers create custom products directly from the 3D digital scan, ensuring an excellent fit, improved comfort and optimal performance
Why Digital Ear Scans?
Digital scanning replaces traditional silicone impressions. Eliminating the intrusive step of injecting silicone into the patient’s ear canal makes impression taking a more comfortable and less intimidating procedure. During 3D ear scanning, the patient can watch the image of their ear as it is created, allowing both the provider and patient to engage in the scanning process.
